Who we are

The Alliance was founded in 2016 in response to the growing threat of climate change. The Alliance's mission is to build a climate-safe future for Snohomish County. 

We work collectively to advance policy responses at the municipal, county and state level that will reverse the impacts of climate change. We develop trusting, ongoing relationships with elected leaders and ask these leaders to take informed, proactive action to protect and improve the environment for all living things. 

The Alliance works to achieve its mission by:

• Advocating for policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions

• Supporting clean energy projects

• Educating the public about climate change and environmental justice

• Promoting efforts to implement climate resilience

• Mobilizing volunteers to take action on climate change

The Climate Alliance of Snohomish County is a valuable resource for businesses, nonprofits, faith groups, and individuals who want to take action on climate change. The Alliance provides information, resources, and support to help people make a difference.
